10 Facts About Tia, the Girl Behind the Blog


FIRST POST, HERE WE GO! Welcome to A Cuppa Tia! I'm Tia (if you haven't gotten the memo by now) and this is my blog. To start things off, I thought I'd give you all a little insight into who's words you'll be reading from here on out. Here are 10 fun facts about me!


1. I'm a dog mom to three amazing pups: Raven, Miso, and Solo.

Raven and Miso are both rescues! Raven is a mix, we're not too sure what she is but our guesses are Great Dane, Lab, and/or Pit Bull. Miso is also a mix of Lhasa Apso and Brussels Griffon! Solo is a pure Pit Bull. I love them all dearly, so expect to see lots of them on here and all over my social media.

2. I have a purple BB unit named BB-2O.


I made her in Galaxy's Edge! She's with the Resistance, just like her maker.

3. I have the most incredible boyfriend ever, Heyden!


We've been together for 5 years!

4. I'm going to D23 next month!

It'll be my third time going and I am BEYOND EXCITED!

5. I'm also starting my last year of college next month... yikes.



I'm an Education major, which I absolutely love and am passionate about, but as you can see from that first picture... sometimes my studies end up focusing on other passions too! I'll be graduating from Chapman University this spring.

6. I collect Funko Pops. I have way too many.

 

Here is a brief look into my collection! I haven't counted in a while, but last time I estimated around 70-80 Pops! Whew. I'm honestly running out of space for them! Someday soon I'm hoping to do either a post about my full collection or a Youtube video, so stay tuned!

7. I work at Disneyland.


This summer I was lucky enough to be apart of the opening team for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Specifically, I helped open up Millenium Falcon: Smuggler's Run! It was an absolute dream come true. 

8. I have two tattoos: one of the Millenium Falcon, and one of Hermione's wand.



I got them both at the same time, and now I can't wait to get even MORE tattoos! The Falcon is to commemorate opening Galaxy's Edge this summer, and also a symbol of my general love for Star Wars. When I was in middle school I used to carry around my replica of Hermione's wand to school every time I had a test. It reminded me of how strong and intelligent she is, and how I am capable of being just as smart and intelligent. Now I can carry that reminder with me wherever I go!

9.  I have the most amazing friends in the world.
 

 Some would say we're as close as family. I'm constantly with them and doing amazing things with them, so get used to their faces now! Also, while you're here, follow them on Instagram! Here's April, Kelsey, Thomas, and Kaila.

10. I have a podcast called SHE-3PO!

Yup, it's true! Kelsey, Kaila and I are SHE-3PO: a women of color lead podcast on all things nerdy. You can find us anywhere you listen to podcasts like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Simplecast, Google Play Music, and more!
